Dr. Castlebury is board certified in psychology. He provides cognitive-behavioral and insight-oriented psychotherapy for adults. Specialty areas include the anxiety disorders spectrum, providing treatment for panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and generalized anxiety. Other areas of specialty include mood disorders, ADHD, and helping individuals through life transitions such as divorce, grief, and loss. He is a Phi Betta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and received his M.A. from East Carolina University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. He completed his psychology internship at Emory University. Dr. Castlebury is an author on a number of publications, including publications in peer-reviewed journals. He has presented his work at national conference proceedings. He is a professional member of the American Psychological Association and the North Carolina Psychological Association. He served from 2001 to 2012 on the Professional Affairs and Ethics Committee of the North Carolina Psychological Association.
