Dr. Williams is board certified in general psychiatry. She offers both medication management and psychotherapy to adult men and women for the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders (including generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder), bipolar disorder, ADHD, addictions, and substance abuse. Dr. Williams has specialized training in perinatal psychiatry to treat women who are planning a pregnancy, currently pregnant, or postpartum. She also works with women experiencing mood and anxiety disorders arising from menopause. Dr. Williams is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the North Carolina Psychiatric Association, and the North Carolina Medical Society. She attended medical school at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York and completed her psychiatry residency at UNC-Chapel Hill, where she served as Chief Resident.
